RedLove

RedLove
I am a sucker for comfy sweaters and a good pair of faux leather pants.  This is a look that is timeless and really can be part of any occasion. The fact that there is so many amazing red lippies to compliment or dress up with makes for an easy transition.  Nude lip to dress this look down and heck.....wear red for dressed down or dressed up.  Highlight your look with a bold necklace or a bright festive clutch and you are ready!

While we are discussing dressed up or down......I believe in simplicity.  Even when it comes to the outfits I post.  You won't find me rambling about my child or how I searched for hours for the perfect shoe.  I like it simple.....real pieces with basic explaination.  If you have questions or would like more detail, comment below xoxo

Highlight

Highlight
I have a love hate relationship with highlighter. I love to try all of them so I hate how many I have. Let's be honest, one is never enough just like the perfect color of foundation.
While I like all of these brands, I have a few favorites. The balm "Mary Louminizer," "watts up" from benefit and Bobbi Brown's shimmer brick are always on the top of the charts. Applying any highlighter to the inner corners of your eyes, cupid's bow of you lip, top of you cheek bones (not highlighting past the center of your eye) and on your nose(I am not a nose highlighting person) can add such a healthy glow! The key is to look like you are glowing from within, not like you are a disco ball......so do not get too heavy handed.
While I love powder or cream highlighters, I think I might start venturing into foundation illuminates. Any suggestions? I am all about the wintertime glow. 😉

Comfort meet fashion.  Details on a normally simple sweat shirt can really spice up your go to outfit.  Add a unexpected accessory or two and you are ready for any type of day.  Ear cuffs are on trend currently and I am loving the extra sparkle!  Try one out!

PerfectCombination

PerfectCombination

Many of these items I have been using for years....others are new to my favorite list. I love love love the smash box "blemish control" primer! Thank you to my good friend for the suggestion! I start with the primer straight out of the shower or on a clean face. I then move on to my foundation. I have said it once and will say it again, Girogio Armani foundation is hands down the best! I blend this with a beauty blender using about 2 pumps. After applying eyeshadow, I apply Koh Gen Doh yellow primer to anywhere I want to highlight, blending with a beauty blender I then apply concealer. Finish off by setting with Anastasia yellow setting powder. For contour, I have been loving the darker shade in the Brow Bar to go. This color is the perfect hughe when thinking of a subtle contour. Seems weird I know, but it works.   As far as blush/bronzer, I use clay bronzer that comes in a little clay pot. I love that this color is a bronzeish blush color. You can build on it and it really works with what ever color my skin is, winter or summer. As a side note, I have been using the same pot for two years!! Good investment for sure. Lastly, I always set with Mac fix plus, especially in this dry winter. It adds hydration and makes your makeup settle and melt into your skin.
